Who we are

We are ConnecThai, a market-entry, operational, and compliance concierge for foreigners doing business and building a life in Thailand. In this policy, 'we', 'us', and 'our' mean ConnecThai, and we are the controller of the personal information you share with us.

We are based in Bangkok, Thailand, where ConnecThai is the trading name of ConnecThai. For any question about this policy or your information, email us at [email protected] — we read every message ourselves.

The information we collect

Information you give us. When you make an enquiry, request a discovery call, or correspond with us, we collect what you choose to share, which may include:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, and how you prefer to be contacted, including a WhatsApp number or Line ID if you provide one
  • Your nationality, date of birth, and the country you are currently based in
  • Business details such as company name, country of incorporation, industry, website, and social profiles
  • The services you want help with, your budget range, your timeline, and what you are trying to achieve in Thailand
  • Your preferred date, time, and timezone for a call, and any notes you add

Information we collect automatically. When you browse the site, we and our analytics provider collect technical and usage data: the pages you view, how long you stay, the link or campaign that brought you (such as referral source and UTM tags), your approximate location, and your device, browser, and operating system. We also capture anonymised session replays of how visitors move through the site. Every form field is masked, so the details you type, such as your name, email, or phone number, are never captured in a recording.

Sensitive information. We do not ask for sensitive personal data. If you include it yourself, for example in a free-text note, you consent to us using it only to respond to your enquiry.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and arrange your discovery call
  • Prepare the confirmation email and PDF summary we send you and, if you proceed, a written proposal
  • Coordinate the services you ask about and introduce vetted specialists where regulated expertise is needed
  • Operate, secure, and improve our website
  • Keep proper business records and meet our legal and regulatory obligations

The legal bases we rely on

Where Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) applies, or the GDPR for visitors in the EEA and the UK, we process your information on the basis of: your consent; our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and running our business responsibly; the steps needed to enter into or carry out an engagement with you; and compliance with our legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time, without affecting anything we have already done lawfully.

Marketing and communications

We contact you about your enquiry and, if you become a client, your engagement. We do not send unsolicited marketing, and we do not share your details with third parties for their own marketing. If we ever invite you to receive updates, you can opt out at any time.

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information. We share it only where it is necessary, with:

  • Providers who act on our instructions: Resend (delivers your confirmation email and our internal notification), Cloudflare (hosts the website), PostHog (analytics and session replay), and Web3Forms (a fallback for delivering your enquiry)
  • Vetted specialists in our network, where coordinating a service for you requires an introduction, and with your knowledge
  • Professional advisers, authorities, or other parties where the law requires it, or where we need to establish, exercise, or defend legal rights
  • A successor, if our business is ever reorganised, merged, or transferred, under the same protections set out here

Where your information is processed

We are based in Thailand, and some of our providers process data elsewhere, including in the United States and the European Union. Whenever information crosses a border, we take reasonable steps to ensure it stays protected to the standard described in this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as we are in contact with you and for a reasonable period afterward in case you return, and we keep records of any engagement for as long as the law requires. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your data sooner, subject to anything we must keep by law.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity, and we aim to respond within the time the law allows. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to your data protection authority, including the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC) in Thailand.

Keeping your information secure

We protect your information with appropriate measures, including encrypted connections, masked session recordings, limited internal access, and reputable providers. No website or system is ever completely secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe and to act quickly if anything goes wrong.

Other websites

Our site may link to third-party websites or specialists. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please review their policies before sharing information with them.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions and analytics. Our Cookie Policy explains what we use and how to manage it.

Children

Our services and this website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The current version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown above. If we make a significant change, we will make it clear.
